Physician/Surgeon
The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) at the highest honor, Accreditation with Commendation, by providing continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery designates this live activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Up to 20 hours of self-assessment credits toward Part 2 of the ABS MOC Program requirements are available.

Nursing Credits up to 13 CE contact hours are provided by Taylor College, Los Angeles, California possibly may not be accepted for national certification. Provider is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP-3285, for the stated number of contact hours.

Social Workers (ASWB)
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Amedco is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Amedco maintains responsibility for this course. Social Workers completing this course receive 13 live GENERAL continuing education credits.

New York Board for Social Workers (NY SW) Amedco SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0115. 13 live hours.

For events that are LIVE WEBINARS, you can claim credits using Activity Type 171. You will receive a CE Certificate from ASMBS with the number of credits for the activity. Keep this certificate for your records. Live webinars/teleseminars do NOT need prior approval as long as they meet the core criteria listed at https://www.cdrnet.org/core-criteria. ASMBS meets these criteria for their events.
Recordings
If the meeting is accredited by a Joint Accreditation group (example: Amedco), you can claim credits from watching the recording using Activity Type 102. You will receive a CE Certificate from ASMBS with the number of credits for the activity. Keep this certificate for your records.
